Monthly inspections

What must be checked

At a minimum:

• In its designated location
• Access and visibility not blocked
• Operating instructions legible and facing outward
• Safety seals / tamper indicators intact
• Fullness confirmed by weighing or lifting
• No obvious damage, corrosion, leakage, or clogged nozzle
• Pressure gauge/indicator in the operable range
• For wheeled units: tires, wheels, carriage, hose, and nozzle OK

Also check pin in place, hose/nozzle clear, and weigh CO₂ units (they have no useful gauge).

Records

• Record month/year and who inspected
• Keep it on a tag, paper log, or electronic record for at least 12 months
